“而(ér)”，连(lián)词(cí)，用(yònɡ)在(zài)复(fù)句(jù)中(zhōnɡ)，连(lián)接(jiē)两(liǎnɡ)个(ɡè)分(fēn)句(jù)，可(kě)以(yǐ)表(biǎo)示(shì)并(bìnɡ)列(liè)关(ɡuān)系(xì)。例(lì)如(rú)：

The conjunction “而” can be used in a compound sentence to connect two coordinate clauses. For example:

1,“明(mínɡ)”字(zì)，左(zuǒ)边(biān)的(de)“日(rì)”意(yì)思(si)是(shì)太(tài)阳(yánɡ)，而(ér)右(yòu)边(biān)的(de)“月(yuè)”意(yì)思(si)是(shì)月(yuè)亮(liànɡ)。
